One of the annoying things about dealing with spam is trawling through email log files. I've been writing a very simple set of tools in Python to handle log file parsing. Eventually it will save logs into a relational database (probably MySQL). The idea would then be to extract figures from the relational database and feed them into GNU R for analysis and graphing.
